Album Notes

These songs were written between 2003 and 2009. I have sung them for colleagues and communities, family and friends in theaters, cafés, dance studios, radio stations, libraries, churches, state capital rotundas, barns, livingrooms, bedsides, and firesides. The songs have been seasoned like potatoes in a stew from all the varied venues and witnesses and a live album before a familiar audience seemed imperative before too long.

When I found out about Michael Connolly and Empty Sea Studios, I jumped at the chance to perform and record all the songs in one evening with a crew of my people sitting close by. It was a sweet night and with the creation of this CD, it can be be shared with a wider audience!
