Airiel Down is a nationally touring, independent rock band based out of Raleigh, NC. Having played over 200 shows in 20 states in the past 2 years from the east to the west coast and gaining radio airplay in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, the band prides themselves on their hard work, relentless attitude, and high energy live show. Many critics, such as Benjamin Ray, claim “Airiel Down is one of the hardest-working indie bands in the country.”
The band incorporated its own production company and record label, Autumn Rain Records, at its inception in 2003. Each band member plays a vital role in the day-to-day business of the band by each taking on numerous responsibilities such as, marketing, booking, public relations, web design and updates, finances, and of course Beaux drives the tour bus.
Their new release, Shine, was recorded in 2008 by John Plymale (Squirrel Nut Zippers, Meat Puppets) at Overdub Lane in Durham, NC and was mastered by Greg Calbi (Springsteen, Dylan, Bowie) at Sterling Sound in NYC. The band has previously released one record, Vision.

I heard them on the radio when they where in my home town playing a show, and after one song, I was hooked. I regret that I couldn’t make that show; however, since the CD arrived two weeks ago, it hasn’t missed a day of play. Can’t wait to see what’s next from these guys.

If you thought their first album was great, just wait to you hear Shine. They've grown a lot musically since the last CD and this should be owned by any rock fan. Make sure you catch them if they're playing nearby...and if they're not, let them know you want them to tour in a city near yoU! :-)
