Album Notes

"Tatanka" is a conceptual project that blends contemporary Native American music with mainstream pop/rock instrumental. Featuring a combination of instruments including haunting flute, traditional Native American drums and percussion, as well as various styles of guitar, this album is a true blend of mainstream and traditional Native American music, making it truly unique. This album is the first release of what is to become a two-part series that will tell the story of the buffalo from before man, to its relationship with the American Indians, and through its near extinction due to the westward expansion across the plains. For those who love music that tells a story, this CD is a must have for your collection.

Hang on tightly because this CD doesn't sit still. Once it starts it's like being catapulted into another realm! The georgeous melodies weave in and out leaving me wanting more. This is a group that I'd dearly love to see in concert some day in the Washington DC area. Wow! I can't wait for their next release!
