Every so often, we hear a song that captivates us and commands our attention. It is a song that makes you want to get up and dance, or make you reflect on love. It is a song that has suddenly become your favorite and you play it all the time. Those are the kinds of songs that Aissa, an original singer/songwriter of Dance, Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B is trying to have in your ears.
Aissa, a native of New York, has been writing songs since the age of 13. Her first professionally recorded album, “Aissa- Not Your Average Girl”, was recorded in 2009 with Frank Starchak of Deltona Records. It was there that she fell in love with the studio and with recording and was inspired to keep writing and creating more music.
Two years later (2011), Aissa released her sophomore album properly titled “Jukebox-Hit Play” because of the variety of music that was placed on that album. She also did this with Frank Starchak at Deltona Records. Aissa doesn’t like to be limited to one genre of music and wanted to reflect that in her album for her dedicated listeners.
Her music has reached the ears of listeners as far as China, Europe, Australia, and the Philippines, with new found fans loving her sound and the unique mix of her tracks. The feedback for the album has been very positive and has garnered Aissa invitations to shows and more of a respected presence in the community.
Nicknamed “Deltona’s Finest”, Aissa is trying very hard to live up to that name and to continue to make hits.
Aissa just wrapped up her third album, Deltona’s Finest, and she is working on her fourth LP with Sarah Starchak and JT. She is hoping to not only make it on her own as a singer, but also as a respected lyricist in the industry that is sought after for hit songs.
