The concept of The Rest Liturgy had been birthed two years before this project was released. Andrew, becoming increasingly busy and overwhelmed with life, decided he had to find a way to slow down, to rest, to reflect and pray more. It was during that time that a verse from Psalms became real to him "Be still and know that I am God" [Psalm 46:10]. Andrew started writing music that would not only facilitate this process for him, but might be a resource for other people on a similar journey.
Most of the tracks were composed spontaneously by Andrew on piano. He then developed textures and arrangements that would be gentle, yet not just musical wallpaper.
Andrew has created a musical environment to facilitate this process of rest and relaxation. It is his prayer that this CD would bring life to those who are weary and overwhelmed. Bless you as you continue your journey.
