This CD showcases songwriters and musicians living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

The "Stonehouse Music Cooperative" has been voted one of the best Travel CD's for 2006 and is regularly featured on Mandozine Radio, and Nat'l Public Radio.

This compilation was inspired by Fischer's desire to bring solo Michigan musicians together for one broad taste of music. After jamming with musicians in northern FL and returning to the upper peninsula, she immediately began a search for solo songwriters for this project. "There are gems in original music everywhere - finding them is another adventure altogether.... " says producer/songwriter Aj Fischer. I'm ready for another one!

Boe Harbison, a magical shy performer/writer, who's no longer on this planet, but we are quite sure is still singing...remains one of the most talented Michigan artists featured here. Although Boe was a musician since childhood, many of those who knew him never heard him play or sing until around 1994, when he founded Peacehill Music. Summertime Peacehill concerts became a part of the fabric of many people's lives, both permanent residents and summer folks in Michigan.

Aj Fischer is an award winning songwriter drawing influences from all parts of the US she traveled and lived, with many years living in Texas. Her songs about travel, love, and our threatened environment, have tremendous staying power.
