ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“AK47” - Producer

Wise and talented way beyond his young years, AK47 is a gifted producer on the rise in music. Hailing from Pittsburg, CA, at age 12, he was introduced to producing when he attended a music production class. After the thrill with his first experience of creating sounds, producing became a passion of focus. His background of Fijian and Indian descent are critical influences on his versatile sound. Growing up, the influences of rap group Mob Figaz, RobLo, and famed producer Scott Storch, are credited as additional reasons and interest of becoming a producer.

His initial claim to fame began with his production on a 2009 song, Snitch Food, featuring Lil Blood and Lil Rue of the Livewire camp. After the song became a street hit, AK47 became a local name in the streets with other major & local artists seeking his production. His unique style of mixing programs with the keyboard creates a distinct sound. He also flips various soft sounds into hard sounding beats. The production/mix of various tempos, and styles, are reminiscent of the South mixed with Bay Area. He plays various live instruments that he incorporates into his beats, as well as using a rare Indian drum called a Tabla. Other production credits include J-Stalin’s “Can’t Hold Water”, Philthy Rich featuring Yukmouth “On paperwork”, and Philthy Rich featuring Messy Marv “They mad that I’m icy.”AK47 has worked with a host of Bay Area artists including the Jacka, Mob Figaz, Yukmouth, J-Stalin, Messy Marv, The Hoodstarz, Kafani, and many more.

As AK47 continues on his industry climb, he looks forward to working with more major artist including Lil Wayne, Drake, Lil Boosie, C-Murder, and anyone else hot enough to destroy his beats. He currently just finished up his first producer album, "The Birth Of AK47", and has current placement on upcoming albums from various artists, including the Mob Figaz, and LiveWire Records camps. More of his work can be found on multiple compilations throughout the Bay Area. He’s accredited for being a young producer with a contentious spirit, and a desire to become a top investment in the music business. His outlook on his future is crisp and clear, to keep real music lit. He’s found his niche in survival, talent, and the love of music.

Stay tuned for AK47!
