Akasa’s visionary sound path began during the summer Solstice in1997 at the site of the ancient oracle in Delphi, Greece. The initiation opened up a sacred sound dimension within her. Plato’s concept “Divine Mania,” best describes the sudden, unexpected, swift, energetic shift that altered every aspect of her life. Akasa’s gift is transmitting the healing, integrating power of sound and music.
In the warm billowing waves of the Aegean Sea, Akasa's first song, an enchanted ancient melody, "Goddess of the Sea", emerged from the depths of primal water. Prior to this moment, she had no connection to her voice as a portal, nor did she have any thoughts of composing or singing. Nonetheless, Akasa surrendered to expressing the ecstasy of Divine Love, through sound and music. The sacred love songs in this album came to her in many unexpected moments of tender longing for the beloved, rapturous wonder, and luminous awakenings. Journeying into love's blinding heat, she was led into dark nights of the soul, followed always by release into the embrace of the unifying source, the eternal love of the great Beloved. The longing for the beloved is the burning desire to know the divine. This album contains many exquisite passages of Akasa’s journey to know her inner Love Divine.
