Album Notes

Akrasi present 'We are In The Future' - a strong, eclectic and diverse debut LP on Zero-k productions, mastered by Denis Blackham. "Expect mutations of dub, breakbeat, ragga and electronica, accompanied by unifying lyrics" Metro

"The production on 'We are in the future' is great and Akrasi's singing voice and songs are also great!' Rob Smith of Smith & Mighty

"Experimental sounds for the music devotees. Fresh sounds combined with live make this an exciting forum for undiscovered talent " Time Out

"Finding time between filming documentaries and running a small production company, jungalist sista Akrasi squeezes in live concerts. Akrasi also established Juju at the africa centre, an ongoing experiment to blend roots, breaks and b-line culture. Expect moody mutations of dub, breakbeat, ragga and electronica, accompanied by her unifying lyrics" Metro

"Dark, deep down tempo breaks done with flattering voice, endless, urban moods. They produce a jazzy deepness that you only know from black and white movies. After this record, we will hear much from them, because in this mode they blow Portishead out of their sleep and could be considered the only counterpart in this sound." Debug Magazine
