Album Notes

Originally written with the Greek letter Omega instead of O (Akrwn), Akron were founded back in 2003 when Simon and Yiannis met through a common friend. Coming from two complete different music worlds they decided to create a unique mix of orchestral and electronic/industrial music. Their first official album titled "Origins of the Seven Deadly Sins" is to be released through Hypervoxx Recordings. Recently B.A. LaRed wrote: "From Greece, comes one of the most innovative duos of the century. Mixing influences such as industrial dance with classical orchestrations, you will notice elements heard in such well-renowned artists as Alan Parsons and Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. Another group that come into mind is Enigma...This CD is a mesmerizing trip of fear through a persons' subconscious mind".

’Origins of the 7 Deadly Sins’ is the debut release of the Greek duo, Simon Sagmatopoulos and Yiannis Gedeon. The contrasting musical tastes within the band birthed a distinctive exploration of the Electro genre, combining a compelling orchestral sound with strongly expressive synth melodies, operatic vocals and hostile rhythms. ‘Origins…’ is a mesmerizing fusion of dark Electro symphonic anthems, a truly delirious experience.
