Album Notes

"The Story of Redemption" is the debut acoustic album from Garrett Heath, a Pennsylvania singer-songwriter known as The Alabaster Jar. Recorded over a few short hours in a small bedroom with just a guitar and harmonica, there is a deep honesty throughout the album that resonates with its simple production. But listeners beware. This album is best heard in the seclusion of a quiet room accompanied by a heart well acquainted with the hardships of life. Full of prophetic lyrics and haunting melodies, "The Story of Redemption" paints a portrait of life in a Pennsylvania oil town and takes listeners on a journey- one of great pain and struggle, but ultimately one of celebration and hope. It reminds us that real hope only comes out of the valley of despair, and that real life only comes from the brink of death.

Garrett Heath (aka The Alabaster Jar) is a singer-songwriter from western Pennsylvania who, along with the help of his closest friends, aspires to waste his life on God and neighbor.
