Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is the greatest tragic love story of all time. Storyteller Alan Irvine adapts the play into a story, bringing the tragic tale to life.
This is one of Alan's favorite stories to tell - a tale filled with the passion and heartache of the famous lovers plight. A story also of action - of sword fights and revenge, of frantic plots gone horribly awry.
This version is from Alan's CD "Lost Loves," which won the Storytelling World award for Best Stories for Adult Listeners in 2010.
The story is a great introduction to the play, but really, it is mostly just a fantastic story - one best listened to with a handkerchief in hand (or a good drink in which you can drown your sorrows at the end.) Come and listen to this tale of "Two households, both alike in dignity..."
