“I like to write songs about people, experiences and relationships that are part of our daily lives, and of characters I invent. If I can leave you feeling sad, angry or happy about being alive, I’ve done a good job.”
Starting his performing career in the U.S. as a teenager, Alan moved to Canada to continue playing and writing, while he worked in the Toronto music industry. Alan is also a prolific songwriter, and has placed his songs in the worlds of TV commercials, film and with other recording artists. He has performed in North America, New Zealand and Europe.
Getting There is Alan's debut CD for Phonic Records, serving as a great introduction to his catchy, upbeat songs, reminiscent of 70's and 80's Classic Rock.
Alan continues to write great music, play with his band The Alternators, and work on a variety of projects for Phonic Records. He currently lives in the Nelson area in British Columbia, Canada.

Really very nice CD, "real" music (no computer), good guitar solos, good chorus
author: Bruno Reinaudi - Italy
Very nice songs : both optimistic (Life is good) and bitter (In my room) considerations about life. Very nice music, well played and sung :
slow ballads (It isn't enough), love songs (Love too much),
blues (Hungry), rock (Time in the world). My favourite :
Fires burning. Looking forward to the next CD !

Easy listening with a good mix of feelings
author: Justin Barnes
I like this cd. I think the only thing that kirk can do from this point is grow. My fav's are broken channels, time in the world**, and In my room!! I think that it might play on the ears of and older crowd a little better because of its light sound...but in my opinion....a good light sound...something I could sing with once I learn the words!!
