This is Alan Merrill's first US solo release.
The songs are strong on this and the guest stars, as on all
of Merrill's recordings, are an eye and ear opener.
There is even one track which features cameos by Steve Winwood and Mick Taylor ("Alaways Another Train") backing Merrill up.
It seems that musicicians have discovered this artist, and the industry has not! An odd duck, sure, but a good 'un!

Alan Merrill is a song craftsman and a fine distinctive vocalist. This album plants him firmly in many AOR genre settings. This album runs the gamut stylistically, bobbing and weaving through many musical landscapes.
The production is overblown at times, and the vocals could have been mixed a bit louder, but overall this is a fine effort.
My favorite track is the ballad "Cold cold september", which is a really outstanding song.
