Alan Rhody has followed a long and at times, a very solitary path as a singer/songwriter over the last four decades. But it’s been his own path, from his beginnings in Louisville, Ky to eight years in Canada and back again to Nashville, which he still calls home. Immediately hailed upon his arrival in Nashville as a bright new talent, he proceeded to have his original songs covered by a who’s who of country, folk and bluegrass, releasing his first solo album in 1981, "Stop The Rain", which still holds up today as a weathervane showing where country was headed from that point with literate lyrics and unfettered rock and roll tracks. He has continued his success as a well-respected songwriter and touring, recording artist.

"I've finally made a record that I love and will be able to live with for a long time to come. The players, singers, engineers and timing all fell together in a beautiful way and I think that can be heard so clearly on this new CD, "Led by Love." My music has always been hard to categorized and it simply doesn't matter hear. The glue is there to hold it all together in the basic tracks played by Rick Lonow (drums), Mike Bub (bass), David Ferguson (bass) and Guthrie Trapp (guitar/mandolin). The icing on the cake was getting Sam Bush and Mike Henderson to add their magic on certain songs. And the singing of Billy Thomas, Jonell Mosser and Vickie Carrico makes me break out in a big smile every time I hear it. All my musical influences are in the songs as well - ancient folk; new folk; rock and roll; and country.
