Album Notes

The new album Angel was made with the thought that, while times are definitely strange, better days are coming again. Hence these tunes have more than just a bit of positive shine, gratitude, and grace. They are played on vintage instruments from a little Victorian parlor in the country. Sonically, the album has a timeless classic sound similar to Gasoline Alley and Blood on the Tracks. All in all a good time to be had. Dance, love and sing, and keep your lovelight shining.

Alan writes the songs, and plays acoustic, electric, 12 string and slide guitars, pedal steel, piano, organ, mandolin, bass, drums, percussion, harmonica, e-violin, lead and background vocals. He also arranges, engineers, mixes, masters, and produces the music; and does the cover art, photography, and design.

Alan performs live in Oregon with his band, and in Southern California with the Catalina Kings. He is based in Oregon much of the time, and is often down in California as well.
