Album Notes

Christine Albert and Chris Gage from Austin, Texas, have a personal and musical chemistry that can't be denied or ignored. Their energy on stage is infectious, as is the obvious joy they experience making music together. Together they travel through their musical roots moving from country, rock, swing and folk to blues and French chansons. The integrity of their musicianship and the rare blend of their voices create a unique sound, whether they are performing originals, songs written by close friends or well chosen covers. Chris Gage is a master of the guitar, piano and accordion, effortlessly switching instruments throughout their set to follow the mood of the music. Christine Albert has been described as a "wondrous singer with a beautiful focus and unrestrained grace". Musicians and music fans alike love and appreciate the soul and quality of Albert and Gage. Since teaming up in 1996 they have released four CDs including the 2003 release "Albert and Gage at Anderson Fair"...."Christine Albert - TexaFrance Encore!", 2001's "Burnin' Moonlight" and "One More Christmas", and their debut together, 1997's "Jumpin' Tracks". Their latest CDs received substantial airplay in the Folk and Americana formats and they have toured nationally as members of Jimmie Dale Gilmore's band, as well as opening the shows. Albert and Gage have performed at festivals and concert series in twelve countries and were invited by Taylor Guitars to showcase on their 2002 NAMM convention stage, as well as the Taylor stage at the 2003 Folk Alliance Conference in Nashville. Chris and Christine are music veterans, each having had a long and prolific career before creating their musical partnership.
