Every Instrument recorded on this album was played by Albert Simpson. The Kick drum sound is actually a Porchboard Bass. It was not intended to be over produced, so it can be pulled off live without missing too much of the elements which define it. Most of Albert Simpson's shows are solo now with just a guitar, vocal, tambourine and the Porchboard, which sounds very full, almost as if a band were playing.
