Alcatrazz was a band ahead of its time. Signed to Capitol Records, the group already featurred some rock and roll luminaries including Graham Bonnet from Rainbow and Jimmy Waldo & Gary Shea from New England. The group enlisted a then unknown guitarist named Steve Vai. The group toured the world & scored a gold album. Vai later went solo & the group tapped Yngwie Malmsteen to play lead guitar & another hero was born. The Best Of Alcatrazz shows off the eraly work of two legends of hard rock guitar.
