"In Al Conti’s music there is a free rein of self-expression which is inherent to new age."
Serge Koslowsky
"New Age has its moment and its place but Conti is injecting his with a slight almost undetectable edge."
RadioMike
"Al is equally at home with the slower reflective pieces and faster upbeat tunes."
Dene Bebbington - Melliflua/Audion Magazine - UK
Take a journey into shadows and the darkest corners of the heart, where no one can go but yourself. With touching piano compositions ‘Asleep in Your Arms,’ ‘Roland’s Heart,’ ‘The Touch’ and the title track ‘Shadows,’ the more upbeat ambient/world ‘Oblivion’ and haunting ‘Reflection,’ to the relaxing ‘Longing for You’ and ‘Whispers,’ let your heart take the emotional journey into your own shadows and back....
Al Conti is a recipient of several awards for his work. His latest album Scheherazade topped the New Age Reporter Top 100 Chart at number 1 for three consecutive months, in October, November and December, 2008. The album also garnered four NAR Lifestyle Music Awards nominations, including 'Album of the Year', and won 'Best World Album' of 2008. Scheherazade also headed many 'Top 10' and 'Best of' lists on dozens of radios around the world. His album Poeta was used as part of NPR's fundraising efforts in 2007 and his recording Quest for Orpheus, from the same album, received a “Best of 2007” Award from Mystic Soundscapes Radio. The album Poeta headed the top 10 of 2007 lists at KCCK Radio and Origen Music, and was a featured selection at WMNR Radio throughout Connecticut in April, 2008. Reviewers have praised Al’s work as “delicious, peaceful music,” “intricate,” “personable,” and expressing a “lovely humanity and positive spirit.”
In 2008, Al Conti joined Kevin Bacon, Jessica Alba, Will & Grace's Shelley Morrison and other celebrities lending his name to the Until There’s A Cure foundation to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS awareness and research.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, now living in Vermont, USA, Al has appeared in many theatre productions as well as television commercials and shows such as CBS' daytime drama 'As The World Turns.' Al began seriously working on music 17 years ago, but it was not until a near death experience that he undertook music full time. Al comes from a family of deeply talented individuals. His grandfather was a concert pianist while Al's mother was a ballerina and his father a professor and poet. His extended family includes the late 1800's Argentinean famed writer Miguél Cané. As a result, Al has been surrounded by an eclectic blend of music, literature and art since he was very young.
Through deep reflection and an awareness of the world around him, Al transfers emotions and images into music that soothes the soul.

Al is heaven sent. His music carries me to a different spectrum within my being every time I listen & let my heart lead. Being a healer, I've used music from Kitaro, Demby, Raphael, Sophia and other greats to enhance opening the hearts of my clients to help them shift, awaken & transform. Al's music is right in sync with the quality of these masters. We are truly blessed because he responds to the Call of Light within, touches us deep in our soul and lifts us higher everytime we listen.

Al's music is spellbinding. Deeply spiritual and meditative. Each song helps me move to another place within my own spirit. All the selections are incredible, I love each one for a different reason, as they each have a story of their own to reveal to you. I can't wait for more from this immensely gifted soul.

Accessible new age melodies make listening to Shadows a relaxing and pleasurable
author: Dene Bebbington - Melliflua / Audion magazine
Piano features throughout much of the album and Al is equally at home with the slower reflective pieces and faster upbeat tunes. Besides the new agey pieces with piano and strings we also find some electronic based numbers. A feat that Al has pulled off and which even some established musicians do not always manage is to create an album of consistently enjoyable tracks. There's not one I dislike or want to skip over. Permeating the album is a lovely humanity and positive spirit.
