"New Age has its moment and its place but Conti is injecting his with a slight almost undetectable edge."
RadioMike
"Al is equally at home with the slower reflective pieces and faster upbeat tunes."
Dene Bebbington - Melliflua/Audion Magazine - UK
Listeners who loved Al's debut CD are eagerly awaiting his third release and reviewers have praised Al's work as "individual," "intricate," and expressing a "lovely humanity and positive spirit."
Take a journey into shadows and the darkest corners of the heart, where no one can go but yourself. With touching piano compositions ‘Asleep in Your Arms,’ ‘Roland’s Heart,’ ‘The Touch’ and the title track ‘Shadows,’ the more upbeat ambient/world ‘Oblivion’ and haunting ‘Reflection,’ to the relaxing ‘Longing for You’ and ‘Whispers,’ let your heart take the emotional journey into your own shadows and back....
“Shadows” is Al’s debut CD and is making quite some noise. It recently made the MTPR radio New Age reporter Top 20 list and reviewers such as Serge Koslowsky say "...it brings out clearly that new age music is successfully developing and improving. And listening to inspired, full-of-life compositions of Al Conti you just rejoice in sensing of another spiritual reality. And again you fully appreciate that our world couldn’t exist without it."
"Shadows" is comprised of melodies with many different energies, all creating one journey. “Many of the songs on this CD are very meaningful to me, and some come from much pain and growth. It was from seeking deep within my own shadows that I arrived where I am today and it was not easy. I think this CD is a result of that. I also like instrumental pieces. I cannot tell you what to feel. It is up to you. New Age instrumental music allows the listener the freedom of their own interpretation.”
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Al has appeared in many theatre productions as well as television commercials and shows such as CBS' daytime drama 'As The World Turns.' Al began seriously working on music 17 years ago, but it was not until after he had a near death experience that he undertook music full time. Al comes from a family of deeply talented individuals. His mother was a ballerina while his father a professor and poet. His extended family includes the late 1800's Argentinean famed writer writer Miguél Cané. As a result, Al has been surrounded by an eclectic blend of music, literature and art since he was very young.
Al Conti is a recipient of two ASCAP Awards for his work. His album 'Poeta' was used as part of NPR fundraising efforts in 2007 and his recording 'Quest for Orpheus,' from the same album, received a 'Best of 2007' Award from Mystic Soundscapes radio. The album 'Poeta' entered the New Age Reporter Top 100 Charts at number 44 in July 2007, headed the top 10 of 2007 lists at KCCK Radio and Origen Music, and was a featured selection at WMNR Radio throughout Connecticut in April, 2008.
Recently, Al Conti joined Kevin Bacon, Jessica Alba, Will & Grace's Shelley Morrison and other celebrities lending his name to the Until There’s A Cure foundation to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS awareness and research.
Since the release of Al's debut CD 'Shadows,' music has taken over and has become his sole work. Through deep reflection and an awareness of the world around him, Al transfers emotions and images into music that soothes the soul.
Al currently divides his time between New York City and Vermont. However, he finds himself drawn back to the peaceful mountains and green forests of Vermont, his true home and a place he deeply loves.

Al is heaven sent. His music carries me to a different spectrum within my being every time I listen & let my heart lead. Being a healer, I've used music from Kitaro, Demby, Raphael, Sophia and other greats to enhance opening the hearts of my clients to help them shift, awaken & transform. Al's music is right in sync with the quality of these masters. We are truly blessed because he responds to the Call of Light within, touches us deep in our soul and lifts us higher everytime we listen.

hypnotic, visionary, connects mind, body & soul, it nurtures my spirit.
author: BethAl's music is spellbinding. Deeply spiritual and meditative. Each song helps me move to another place within my own spirit. All the selections are incredible, I love each one for a different reason, as they each have a story of their own to reveal to you. I can't wait for more from this immensely gifted soul.
Accessible new age melodies make listening to Shadows a relaxing and pleasurable
author: Dene Bebbington - Melliflua / Audion magazinePiano features throughout much of the album and Al is equally at home with the slower reflective pieces and faster upbeat tunes. Besides the new agey pieces with piano and strings we also find some electronic based numbers. A feat that Al has pulled off and which even some established musicians do not always manage is to create an album of consistently enjoyable tracks. There's not one I dislike or want to skip over. Permeating the album is a lovely humanity and positive spirit.
Genuine, remarkable, original and fresh! A very relaxing and soothing journey!
author: Jose GomezAl Conti truly hits his mark and takes you on a wonderful journey. His music is very diverse. Some of his songs will soothe and relax you, some will make you cry, while others started to make me think and wonder! Then I found the ones that made me smile and made me move, as well. If you love music that transports you and takes you on a magical journey, then Shadows is a must for you! His orchestrations are very fresh and his melodies are simply beautiful and very original. Lucky for us - Al Conti has arrived!

Authentic feelings in conjunction with competence
author: GerritFor me it’s not easy to find a composer who shares his feelings with the listener as deep as Al Conti does. The album „Shadows“ invites me to escape reality for a while and carries me through diversified styles of music, always conflated with Al's distinctive sense for mood. Authentic feelings in conjunction with competence make this album inimitable.
From someplace very deep and personal
author: Cal HillVery moving! This music comes from someplace very deep and personal. Rarely does instrumental music make me feel this much. A wonderful talent; one that I look forward to hearing a lot more of in the future.
A truly spiritual experience. One of my favorite CDs!
author: Loraine HillI listen to this CD while meditating, driving (sure helps keep me calm in the traffic of Tampa, Florida!)cleaning house and simply relaxing with a cup of tea. It is a truly spiritual experience that not many CDs can duplicate. This is a unique mixture of various "feels": from haunting melodies to soothing 'music box' rhythms to capture your every mood. A+ !
Soaring & sensitive at times, yet quite, deep and personal.
author: HecateWhat a lovely work from this multi-faceted composer! The tones are soaring and sensitive at times, yet quite, deep and personal. This composer is obviously well connected with the higher planes and knows how to pull down that vibration and fashion it into this wonderful CD. There is good meditation music in this CD. I look forward to new works by this soul. I highly recommend this CD!
