Fabulous recording. Breathtaking, and after hearing it perhaps 20-30 times in almost as many days, I still can't get enough. Eagerly awaiting volume 2, and 3 and ... . :-)

Very nice and relaxed!

This is no self-serving intellectual exercise or ambitious "who's faster than whom" as is sometimes found when an established fusion guitarist takes on this type of music. This is just wonderful music and almost minimalist in it's arrangement. Di Meola really lets the music breathe. Highly recommended.

Passionate as always
author: Deon Valodia
The Jazz/Rock fusion fans may be somewhat surprised with Al Di Meola tributes to Astor Piazzolla. They may be further surprised by the fact that Piazzolla is a major influence on Di Meola's music. I feel blessed to lovingly appreciate all the dimensions of Di Meola's passionate soul. He is not one to walk in the shadow of another but adds his own touch of genius and, of course, this is how all Di Meola compositions are created first - on the solo guitar. The 'Milonga del Angel' revisited is particularly touching...long live progressive music: it requires the listener to continually grow with the artist's increased maturity. Thanx Al.
