Album Notes

ALEC PHILLIPS is a singer/songwriter, pianist, guitarist, harmonica player, bassist and drummer who has an assortment of shows to be experienced. He has moved back into the N.Y. metro area after a 5 year trek through the south bringing with him two C.D.s which he plays all the instruments on except where noted and another on the way. He has been a full time musician for over 10 years playing in all sorts of situations including opening shows for many national acts such as Rick Danko (from The BAND), Jorma Kaukanen (from Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane), Robby Krieger (from The DOORS), Toy Caldwell (from Marshall Tucker ), Jefferson Starship and more.

His shows vary from easy listening piano venues to Hells Angel victory parties in NYC to the Royal Albert Hall in London (playing with Paul Young on one of a couple European tours). Overall, writing and performing his original music is what this artist loves most. His selection of cover material in his shows is strong, and versatile while giving each song his own added flavoring. This is what he does.

Alec has an assortment of shows .
• ALEC PHILLIPS SOLO – Guitar, Piano ( both with harmonica)
• ALEC PHILLIPS AND THE POCKET – This is the most frequently used show . Alec trades piano and guitar sets, playing harmonica jams on both. In the piano set he keeps a good solid bass going with left and rhythm and lead on the piano and organ while the drummer who sings as well puts on a show up front with him . The sound carries over like a full band . There is no prerecorded music. This show can be quiet and intimate or hit the floor dancin' Rock +Roll !
• ALEC PHILLIPS AND FULL POCKET --BASS and/or GUITAR ADDED - gives Alec even more freedom for many jams.
• --TWO FEMALE BACKUP SINGERS ADDED– Time to get down to business!
The C.D. s "IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE" and “OVER EASY” are very different as you will notice . OVER EASY is comprised of some of his more easy going songs . The “JUNGLE” CD is more blues/rock + roll based.
