ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
Alex Austin was born July 10, 1973. Alex grew up in a house hold consisting of his mother, stepfather, & younger sister. At the ripe old age of 14, Alex was given his first musical instrument by his grandmother...an acoustic guitar. Alex spent a number of years playing in different bands with friends & such in North Carolina before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1995. In 1995, Alex joined a band called “Jack the Ripper”. After playing a few shows with “Jack the Ripper“, Alex was approached by a rival band called “Ugly Room”. From this point, Alex spent nearly (6) years performing & recording with “Ugly Room”. Ugly Room released their first debut album in 1999 titled simply…Ugly Room. Ugly Room also shared the stage with many national artist, such as: Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Kentucky Headhunters, Bonham, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown band, Dangerous Toys & LA Guns to name a few. In mid 2001, “Ugly Room” disbanded & Alex pursued other musical interest. In early 2003, Alex joined a cover band called “Gogglez Pizano”. To date, Alex currently performs almost (200) shows annually with “Gogglez Pizano”. In 2005, Alex began working with a close friend in North Carolina to begin recording his first solo-album. Alex’s debut self titled solo-album was released in Dec 08’. Alex currently resides in South Carolina with his family.
