With a new studio album under his belt, newcomer Alex Cartwright is sure to turn heads this summer. The 6 foot 4 inch singer/songwriter from Tulsa Oklahoma has the ability to make you forget what you were doing before you started listening. Over a year in the making, his new album will be released may 3rd in stores as well as on iTunes and on the website alexcartwright.com
Alex was born in Tulsa Oklahoma July 15th, 1985 to Michael and Debbie Cartwright. Coming from a family of guitar players, Alex picked up his first guitar at age 8. Graduating within the ranks of Tulsa’s top 20 students in 2003, alex attended a brief stint at the university of Tulsa before dropping out to travel.
After a year on the road, Alex came back to Tulsa to begin recording his first album “Misinterpreted Things”. The album took over a year to record and features 10 of Ac’s most popular tunes. Alex has been playing professionally since he was 17 in clubs and concerts across the country.
