Album Notes
So, who the **** is Alex?

Alex ... is unmatchable musician and songwriter...
...songs are three-minute masterpieces, bridging the gaps between rock, pop, and classical music. A one-man band, he has a keen ear for melody and a true gift for orchestration, meshing pretty strings with ripping guitar lines and colorful keyboard crescendos. The songwriter owes as much to Yes and Queen as he does to composers like Tchaikovsky and Debussy, and while his songs bear these imprints, they are unmestakably his own.

Rodell Records. Hollywood

Meshing Soul vocal melodies with eighties style metal guitar riffs, this is an outrageously unexpected melting pot of styles. Alex hails from the former Soviet Union where he honed his skills as a guitarist, song writer and vocalist. Perhaps it is this distance from the contemporary music scene that allows him to blend styles in this completely new way, perhaps he's just a genius. The sounds sit strangely together, yet there is an undeniable catchiness that will have you listening up for more...A little bit like you would to Rappers Delight if you are old enough to remember that!

Matchbox Records. Oxford

It has not always be swinging for music to get to you. Guitarist Alex Pavlikov has demonstrated on Open-stage-rally organized by Gynaika, that virtuosity and integrity have been sufficient. The winner Pavlikov was glancing like a cher on a pie with another 5 laureates of rockrally in Schipperbeurs on Saturday - long six weeks on stage with young rocktalent - and CD out.

Schippersbeurs Contest. Antwerp.

Alex Guitar is coming from musicians family [ classical & folkmusic ] in former Soviet Union.
The talent to play guitar, sing & compose gives him ability to cover up a wide spectrum of music: from Rock, Pop & Rap - Metal to clasical or instrumental such as Funky or Acid - Jazz.
Even before Alex went to the school, he had began to play piano.
When he has been 13, guitar became the number 1 instrument for the rest of his life.
In 80's Alex had finished musical-choreographic school as choirdirector with a good knowledge of composition.
Now, about 20 years of experience performing live being part of a band, orchestra or playing solo Alex is ready to make his abilities to sing & write a songs be recognized.
It is definitely fair that his music would be heard.

Good combination of styles & interesting lirics as well
I thought that generation of real musicians is gone forever, but this cd proves me wrong. Good combination of styles & interesting lirics as well. I will recomend everyone at least to listen to it. Good voice, great guitars & incredible feeling of orchestration. Really enjoy it. Good job, Alex...
