Hi Everybody, Alex Hirsch here! I am a musician who has been lucky enough to be in the same band since 1988, a phenomenal group called IMPRASIA. We toured from 1989 - 1991, living in San Rafael, CA. We moved back to Chicago in 1991 and each member began living in their respective adult lives, work, kids, responsibilities outside music, making live gigs a near impossibility. I decided to make this record as a tribute to both my band as an entity, and myself, as a solo musician. This 17 song collection took 1 year to complete, basically in the studio every day. Also, there are three songs included here recorded with all the original members of the entire band IMPRASIA.

Personally, I am heavily influenced by Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, as well as any real Jazz greats like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus and so many others. I try to make music that is more and more interesting on different levels with each listen.

I believe that if you listen to these songs, and you have an ear that can hear the slightest out-of-tune instrument, you will feel the emotion that went into them.
