Album Notes

Miss Alexis Donnelly, noted Jazz and Swing singer, began her career in music as a vocalist in the early 1990’s. Singing the music she loved, she soon discovered that she had tapped into legions of admirers of the Jazz, Swing and Standards made famous from the 1920’s through the 1960's.

Since then Alexis has appeared and performed at numerous events throughout the US and Canada. Highlights of Alexis' performances have been at the Las Vegas Desert Inn, Andy Williams’ Club 76 in Branson, Missouri, and Carnival Cruise Line concerts. Alexis Donnelly has recently completed a 24 city tour of the United States with the Marriott corporation.

Her accompaniment consists of: a pianist, trio, quartet, 7 piece Swing and occasionally her 18-piece big band.

In January 2001 Alexis received the Certificate of Commendation from the Mayor and City Council of Los Angeles for elevating public awareness of the music of "Miss Peggy Lee" as a classic art form. This award precipitated her opportunity to work with renowned Artie Shaw.

Alexis’ vocal talent has been compared to that of Patti page, Peggy Lee and Doris Day.
