She has the looks, the personality, and she definately has the voice.
Alexis LOVES to sing. Ever since she was four years of age, her mom KNEW that she had a naturally beautiful voice. She told her mother over and over that she wanted to be famous like the 80's punk-rocker "Blondie."
Country music is quite a twist from the 80's blonde-bombshell. But Alexis' voice cries country music.
Alexis started singing in school functions, was in your basic choirs, school bands.
Alexis graduated in 1993, where she was voted "most likely to become famous" by her classmates, and that is what motivated her to follow her dream.
Alexis did the good ol' karaoke scene, and eventually hooked up with some bands.
Finally in 1995, luck followed her when a country western show called "The Wisconsin Opry" in the Wisconsin Dells called her and asked her to audition. They heard her voice, and KNEW she was the one. The only thing the "Opry" gang was worried about was the fact that Alexis had no true stage experience.
"I thought she was going to panic and run right off the stage," said Virgil Dickinson, owner of the Opry. "But she didn't. You could tell she is a natural. She's better than most of the female Nashville stars we've had here!"
For 13 years now, she has been performing at the Wisconsin Opry, and opening for Nashville "Grand Ol' Opry" stars such as, Whisperin' Bill Anderson, Kitty Wells, Riders in the Sky and many more. Patrons of the Opry would always ask Alexis, "Why aren't you in Nashville? You're just as good--if not BETTER than most of those people out there today!"
And that is what set Alexis on her next journey. She went Nashville in September of 2002 to record her first cd. A songwriter named Robert Dellaposta sent her a demo cd and Alexis took it from there. "It was like it was meant to be." Alexis said. "The songs called out to me. So many songs fit my life--it was like I had written them myself!"
The songs that spoke to her the most were the "broken heart" songs, since she suffered a broken heart by two failed marriages. "My first marriage was with an abusive man, and my second was with a man treated me like a 'Shadow in the Dark' like the song says." Alexis added, "the best part of the deal was having my children. And just because my marriages failed, doesn't mean I am a failure!"
Alexis has her CD playing on some Wisconsin radio stations, and the stations are telling her that people are calling in all the time to request her CD. "It's so flattering to know that people are REALLY loving the music! I've already had emails from people willing to start a fan club! People come up to me all the time and want my autograph....how awesome of a feeling is that?!"
So, get your autographs now. It's still easy.
In 2006, The Wisconsin Opry featured Alexis in a huge Patsy Cline tribute show. The show was a major success, and because of that, Alexis is now recording a Patsy Cline Tribute Cd.
As you can see, her life is a country story. Why don't you check out her album and see why this will turn into another chapter in Alexis' life?.....

Vital and interesting - well done, lass
author: Stuart Hamilton
Alexis has produced that strangest of things, an 80s sounding country album that is still vital and interesting. Well done, lass!
After the usual country tales of heartache, ALexis wound up on a country western show called "The Wisconsin Opry" in the Wisconsin Dells, in 1995. She's been there for
For 10 years now, opening for Whisperin' Bill Anderson, Kitty Wells, Riders in the Sky and many more.
Finally, after what seems like forever, Alexis has recorded her first CD. Helped along by songwriter, Robert Dellaposta, these are classic country songs without bowing to the new conformity that bedevils so many genre releases. This is chock full of great songs from the title track through "Rest in Pieces", "If You Wanna Change My Mind" and "Shadow in the Dark". Alexis relishes the big ballds and has a voice to match. She's working on her second CD, but you really want ot get to grips with this.
And anyone who shares my love of Sandra Bullock has to be worth supporting!
