ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Alex J Roberts, born and raised in Irvine California, picked up a guitar at age 10. He played steadily in a metal band for a few years through out high school. After realizing that this style didn’t satisfy his musical taste, he decided to follow a different path. Alex started writing seriously while in Colorado in the Winter of 2007. After returning to California, Alex decided to write and record his own Album. Alex’s first Album “ Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” was recorded in various locations through out Southern California, and was finished in January of 2009. From the beginning Alex has always worn his influences on his sleeve, and with influences such as David Bazan, Elliott Smith, and Jeff Tweedy, why not? Alex’s music explores a broad range of ideas, from theology, to the complexities of seemingly simple human interactions. He is set on distributing his music in order to provoke thought, and inspire others to do the same. At age 20 he surely has much to learn as a musician, as a human, and as a songwriter, and eagerly invites you to grow up along side him.
