In a day and age where people have to pretend to be something they are not, “Stop Signs and Red Lights” is what it is. It’s honest and straight-forward. It’s about love and loss. It’s about appreciation and redemption. These lessons and themes are universal to us all.
Sometimes, the biggest challenge in life is to just be yourself and be comfortable with your make and model number. So, listen to my lyrics and feel better about who and what you are to the world. Shake what your mama gave you!
“Stop Signs and Red Lights" -the album, is about finding yourself during the times when you are being held back from the big journey taking you where you need to be.
"On My Floor" is one of my favorite songs. It is the song I wrote for my friend Adam after he passed away. His death was actually the reason I chose to pursue my music. The album is dedicated to him and also my friend Nichole who both passed away far too soon. They were only in their twenties. I still think of them often.
I recorded “Stop Signs and Red Lights” at SherStudios in Southington, CT, under the wisdom and guidance of Jamie Sherwood whose twenty-five years of experience in the performing and producing world of music only added more power to the momentum that would become my debut album.
Appearing on the song “We’re Together” is my friend and multi-faceted singer Latanya Farrell. Check that one out!
My lyrics have been called intelligent and from the heart with “a whole lot of soul to back it up.” My voice: strong, edgy, and very distinct with a mesmerizing quality that makes you stop and listen.
