ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“The Power of One: 9/11 Unity and Hope” is a powerful tribute that serves as a reminder not only that we should not forget the events of 9/11/01 and honor and celebrate the lives of all those we lost but to remember how we all came together as one. ALFIO's contribution to the memory of those who perished comes in the form of music. When he first heard the poem 'One' by Dr. Cheryl Sawyer in 2008, he knew instantly that he had to put music to such beautiful words - and he did. The voices heard in this recording are family members of those who perished at Ground Zero: (in order of appearance) Esterina DiNardo, George Reisman, Paul Pyoung Kyoum Kim, Marvina Baksh, and Alfred Jeffires, Sr.

Through Dr. Sawyer’s words and ALFIO’s music they both hope the “The Power of One” sends the message that despite the tragic and horrific events of that day the civilized world came together and won...against terrorism and adversity.
