Album Notes

ALF are a London based "collective". By collective we mean a group of musicians who interact on different projects. So there is a conventional "band", but it varies from event to event.
Worldwide there are many collectives, and then of course there are the main people pushing these collectives along. In ALF's case these are Nicholas Chamberlain-Hunt and Christine Ann Leach. Christine and Nick's main objectives in life are to make music, for the love of it, not simply as a route to make money, more as a creative outlet many creative people are drawn to like moths to a light with no real choice in the matter. They seek to create interesting and slightly unusual forms of music. If you have good taste then ALF will appeal to you. If you have bad taste then ALF will appeal to you. You can't loose. Any of the four albums, they are all beautiful in their different ways, being based on different concepts and criteria.
The rest of the collective? Well we love them all, they are brilliant in there own rights, one and all. There's too much to say, check out www.myspace.com/alfuk and they'll be amongst our friends.
Peace.
