Alfredito Payne was born in the City of Almirante Province of Bocas
del Toro, Republic of Panama. He is very Proud of his latin-afro caribbean heritage. He was introduce to the world of music through his father Bill Payne who was an Excellent trumpet player and band leader. Alfredito's dream was to one day perform with his father's band, But he never got that chance because he lost his father when he was 14 years old. Alfredito made a promise to his father to become the best he can be in the Entertainment world. At 14 he formed the group known as Los HB de Bocas del Toro and started touring cities all over Panama. It was a great moment for Alfredito his popularity started to grow to the point that he got the break to perform with the well known famous group the Peace Makers in Costa Rica. with this group Alfredito came to the United States on tour, He then decided to stay in the United States and started auditioning with local groups. In the summer time of 1985 Alfredito attended a concert in New York City the special atraction was, The Sonero del Mundo Oscar D'Leon. Alfredito's wish was to one day Perform together with this Great Artist Well his dream came through that evening when he was given an opportunity to go up on stage with Oscar D' Leon, And the rest his History. Alfredito was a lead Singer for the Dominican Orquesta of Manuel Duran. He then was Selected to become a steady background singer for the well known Dominican Salsa Artist Jose Alberto "El Canario",Touring all over the United States, Colombia,Curazao,Venezuela. He also did some lead vocals with the famous Orquesta Tipica Novel directed by the well known cuban band leader Willy Ellis. Soon after Alfredito went to perform as a background vocalist with Dominican Artist Mickey Taveras in Los Angeles Ca. The Break as a Singer/Songwriter came when he was Offered to be a part of the famous Hatian band The Tabou Combo. Alfredito wrote and sang the number one Hit song "Fiesta" the song that gets any body that love to party on the dance floor. It also created a grand demand for this group al over the World. With the Tabou Combo,Alfredito tour all the United States,Canada,Costa Rica,Panama,Haiti,Martinique and Europe. Alfredito has been a guest for artist such as,Tito Nieves, Camilo Azuquita,Ismael Rivera,Puerto Rican Power, Oscar D'Leon,Luis "Perico"Ortiz, And many others. On November 14 2007, The Organization Facundo Rivero Performing Arts in Miami Florida, Awarded Alfredito Payne with the Premio Estrella 2007 for his hit song "Fiesta". Also for his outstanding career in the music industry. Thanks for sharing some of these precious moments with this great Artist. And remenber.."
