Album Notes

"This EP is packed with a new brand of rock. It is powerful yet subdued, intelligent yet not pretentious. The worst thing I can say about the release is that the five songs leave you wanting more."

--Dennis Halsey
BestFemaleMusicians.com

"Alice Marie is a star! And by star, I don't mean just as a musician. Those songs had to come from someplace way beyond music."

--Les Reynolds
indie-music.com

"'So Long' is a rock anthem waiting to hit the airwaves.'"

--Anna Maria Stjarnell
CollectedSounds.com

"Alice Marie's songs go right through you like a lightning bolt."

--Michelle Colletti
Creative Evolution

Mystical and moody.

Groundbreaking and soul-shaking.

Or more to the point, brilliant.

That's how Bob Leone of the Songwriters Hall of Fame has described Alice Marie's piano-based rock. Indie-Music.com says she's a star whose songs come from someplace way beyond music. And Virt Records touted her as one of its Undiscovered Gems.

With a smoldering voice, poetic lyrics that penetrate the soul, and haunting, sometimes Celtic melodies amid lush, dramatic soundscapes, the New York-based singer-songwriter won't remain undiscovered for long.

Her songs have aired on Sirius Satellite Radio, Plum TV, plus numerous podcasts and Internet radio stations, and she has appeared at The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Borders Books, The Living Room, 17, Maxwell's in Hoboken, and Balboa Park in San Diego.

"I Was Seven," and "More," two tracks from Angels Near, the full-length follow-up to Equilibrium, are helping raising money for the Tori Amos-endorsed organization RAINN on a CD called Mindful Lullabies. "Easy Streets" appears on Mamapalooza Vol. 2.

REVIEWS

A rare and awesome talent!!!
author: Chase von, The Last Panther
I don't know if my last review took, so I will make this one brief. Check out Alice Marie, and one of my favorite songs Lip Stick Diaries! I generally like R and B but I will listen to anything if it is good. And Alice Marie is the kind of artist that transcends musical boundaries. I forsee her soon accepting the highest honors music can bestow. She is that rare talent that once experienced is forever remembered. Soon to be a household name and deservingly so!!! Chase von tlp The Last Panther Author of Pink, Blue and Green and the soon to be released Loud Statements, Silent Whispers, Telling Truths

One of the best investments ive made this year. "Lipstick Diaries" is still my favorite track on the cd, its what made me buy the cd in the first place. To any one who reads this review........buy this cd. you'll be doing yourself a huge favor. Alice has one of the best voices in the business today and its just a matter of time before the rest of the world knows it.
