"ALICE ROCK are a refreshing two piece 'Poppy Punk' band full of insuppressible energy and drive. Alice on guitar & vocals and Tabby on drums are clearly bringing something new to the world of popular music."
ALICE ROCK is actually a girl (lady? Yes this is actually her real name!) who embarked on what is becoming an amazing musical journey following a crazy situation that was sadly representative of today's some what bizarre world. Alice's raw passion and emotion have made her unstoppable, she wrote and recorded her album 'FINDING WONDERLAND' alone in her bedroom studio ~ despite virtually foaming at the mouth as a result of the effort this took, the results are astonishing. Her songs are often full of anger, pain and disbelief, yet she draws the listener in with humor and wit that clearly comes straight from the heart.

There’s a certain air of nostalgia on first hearing the quirky poetic verses that play in Alice Rock's loveable little wonderland. It’s true that maybe her image of wonderland is just slightly over the edge to what most would idealise. I can picture her now with the Cheshire cat on a lead and the Mad Hatter sobbing uncontrollably after sweet little Alice has kicked the table over and trampled over the tea set. Yep, it’s that crazy in here.
Each song relates to more modern issues that other artists might have favoured to leave well alone, ‘Dot Com Women’ is totally outrageous, depicting the various angles that some would advertise their wares over the net, great fun, bouncy and enjoyable to listen to. Being careful to hear the story is a must. ‘Wonderland’ has a different approach but soon catches up to speed and takes over and wins position as the EPs title track.

The first thing that will strike you about ALICE ROCK is they have a unique sound that cannot be compared to any mainstream band of today. The best way to describe it would be a mix of the B52’s and Blondie with their own unique twist. From the beginning of the album, right through to the end you are hit with guitar riffs that are both catchy and skillful whilst being driven by a drummer that certainly isn’t afraid to use their kit.
