This CD is the 3rd release by this young pianist, and shows her continuing growth in the complexity and maturity of her original compositions. For the first time she has underscored several selected tracks with strings and has included percussion on a number of the tracks. Her Easy Listening, New Age style has been compared with George Winston and Jim Brickman. She has performed in a number of intimate settings, and her unique harmonics transport the listener into a realm of intense pleasure. Alicia has a very personal way of voicing the piano that is not present in any other solo pianists. Her playing is introspective, mood-setting and, frequently, tranquilizing. This presents the opportunity to listen to her compositions intently and be transported into another place, or have her music set the mood to enhance other pleasurable activities.
