Album Notes

Alien Music Club's first serious jazz album is a joy from start to finish! There's a definite flow to it with each track leading to the next. Mostly instrumental, but with a few, well-placed vocal tracks, it showcases multi-instrumentalist composer Jonathan Pearlman (JP) with guest artists including flutist Joel Spencer and percussionists Jaron Pearlman and Robin Tolleson. Fresh & original, the music has echoes of John Scofield, Joe Pass, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Donald Fagan and Jeff Beck, among others. For the most part, it defies description, but you like it the minute you hear it. Truly a labor of love, Zero Digital Gravity should be part of your CD library!
