The spirit and vibe of the two albums are different, and that's to be expected. I'm quite aware of the state of our country's mind, but, like Alix, I'd like my sad stories with "popcorn and laughter." "Built Like That" is a little more up beat, served with more optimism and wit than "Independence Meal." Some of the punctuation is off in the book. Poetic license, I know, but a period always goes inside quotation marks. Yeah, I know that's picky. Perfect punctuation or otherwise, it’s worth the buy.) "Independence Meal" is a fabulous cd, created by a team of damn sexy women, but I wish I could groove to it a little more.
