Album Notes

Allan Holdsworth has captivated audiences with a unique and expressive style of guitar playing that has won him a devoted fan base.
Well-known in musical circles, he has performed with such artists as Jean Luc Ponty, Tony Williams, Bill Bruford, Stanley Clarke, Gordon Beck, and Chad Wackerman, and groups such as John Heisman’s Tempest, UK, Planet X, and Soft Machine.

In 1980, his own brand of jazz-fusion would be more personally realized after he set out on his own to record his first solo effort, I.O.U. featuring Gary Husband and Paul Carmichael.

Look for several new Holdsworth releases due out in late 2007.

Always a joy

Some great stuff here, although I.O.U. will probably always be my favourite. Vinnie's solo on "Against The Clock" (the only track he's on) is worth the price of admission alone.

This is the Allan Holdsworth desert island album. Every track is absolutely stunning. If I had two choose my favorite pieces, I would have to say Zarabeth and Sphere of Innocence. If you already own the original, it's definitely worth buying the re-issue for the alternate version of Tokyo Dream.

An amazing recording in a truly awful cover. The three extra tracks are worth the price of admission alone. Gary Husband's performance is a special delight on this CD. Go for it!!!

this is one of the greatest CD's ever recorded. I bought the additional tunes listed here but remember the Unmerry Go Round is only 5 minutes with part 1 and 2 combined . Personally these extra songs aren't worth it if you already have the previous version . But if you don't have it then go and ahead and get this one !
