by Jim Allchin

As a DJ in St. Louis put it..."I’m talking you walk into a bar, hear this cat playing and get blown away." This debut CD is an intoxicating mix of blues rock styles, from radio rock to foot-stomping blues and soaring intense guitar.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As a DJ in St. Louis put it..."I’m talking you walk into a bar, hear this cat playing and get blown away."

Jim grew up in a one-room house on a dirt farm in the Deep South. To earn money in school, he travelled the south, earning rave reviews for his passionate guitar playing. Allchin left the farm, received Masters/Doctorate degrees from Stanford University and Georgia Institute of Technology, and went on to become a world recognized leader in Computer Science. Now he just codes because. Geek. Musician.

Impressive
I knew Jim was a great guitarist and this debut album has really put him on the map. Played it over and over yesterday in the car. Very impressive.

Great tunes!
This album is full of great songs. My favorites are Let's Play and Rockin' Chair. Perfect music to kick back, relax, and enjoy.

Great guitartist!
This cd is full of great blues and rock guitar playing. A great find for those of you, like myself, who constantly search for well-written songs backed by fierce chops. I especially dig I'm your man. You can definetely hear Eric Johnson and Clapton influences and Allchin's playing doesn't pale in comparison. Highly Recommended

Love the guitar riffs. He's a great talent out there. Glad he finally has time to focus on his music vs. software :-)
