As a DJ in St. Louis put it..."I’m talking you walk into a bar, hear this cat playing and get blown away."

Jim grew up in a one-room house on a dirt farm in the Deep South. To earn money in school, he travelled the south, earning rave reviews for his passionate guitar playing. Allchin left the farm, received Masters/Doctorate degrees from Stanford University and Georgia Institute of Technology, and went on to become a world recognized leader in Computer Science. Now he just codes because. Geek. Musician.
