It is an extremely rare occurance when two beings from beyond normal space-time assume the form of bipedal hominids, then produce constructs of vibrational frequencies that resonate to the invisible harmonic denominator within all sentient species. Happily, this event has manifested delightfully in the form of the cd "I," by allendale, aka Karyn Allen and Rick Dale.
Although replete with emotional subtlety, their music has a certain raw warmth, not unlike the layer of fat around the edge of a Honeybaked Ham...tasty and satisfying, without creating that "too full" feeling. There is something for everyone here, except for Sadaam Hussein, who isn't going to be buying cds in the near future anyway.
There is little to say about these two near-geniuses. Since they have chosen clean, compact but rather non-descript physical archetypes for their representations on the material plane, few photos are at this time extant. Suffice to say that Karyn is a vivacious beauty with extraordinary creativity, and Rick a handsome but talented tunesmith who can turn a phrase on its head, shaking the spare change out of it. Together they are allendale, and manage to firmly grasp the horizon that rapidly recedes from just about everyone else.
Why write about the individual songs? There are real examples here, so don't be lazy, get up off your cyber-butt and have a listen. Then buy, if it's what you like, and you know you will. Maybe even one for Aunt Edna. We're serious. You don't see us smiling, do you?

Wow! I love this CD. Not only does it inspire me, I love the "old school" rock and roll sound.
