Album Notes

The third c.d. from guitarist and composer Allen Hinds is by far his most adventurous and revealing. This c.d. sounds better and all the performances are great. Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Babko, Randy Porter, Melvin Davis, are just a few of the great players featured on this c.d. Fun, Fun,Fun..nice variety of "vibes"..very good "vibes"

The most underrated guitarist in the world ?
author: PhK (Paris / France)
Allen Hinds really shines through this new album, very nice compositions (and fantastic cover of "come together"), played but one the best guitarist I know (and I know a few), with incredible guitar tones. Thanks. PS : as written in review below, we need to hear Allen in a more blues & funk context next time !

Anthology of blues/jazz tracks featuring vocals full of soulful emotion
author: Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Guitarist/composer Allen Hinds performs an anthology of blues/jazz mixed with world fusion on his latest album, titled “Falling.” With guitar being the main focal point, Hinds executes stinging rhythmic complexities. Creative melodies and the colorful chord structure bring this album to life. “Come Together” is a tried and true standard that Hinds injects his own bluesy spin into. His vocals have strong tonality and spill out with soulful emotions. Brilliance and speed highlight “Rat Scat” as guitar and organ run with a musical pattern that is sizzling hot. Relax and enjoy Allen Hinds’ work of art entitled “Falling” that is sure to please fans of blues, jazz, and the style of Chris Whitley.

locked in my cd player!

Very nice indeed - albeit a tad "soft" here and there, but very tastefull on the right side of fusion. Next one will be a bit more funk/bluesy?? Oh, and that Beatle song is... sexy!
