Like the soundtrack to a beautiful and strange film, All India Radio's new album is all about scratchy atmospheres, dreamy beats, tremolo guitars and gorgeous melodies, evoking images of cosmonauts, lost 1970s surf movies and lone gunmen straight out of an Ennio Morricone dream.
The album features the voice of Professor Don Gurnett, famous for his NASA ‘space sounds’ (used by the Kronos Quartet on their famous Sun Ring recordings) and a cameo by The Church’s Steve Kilbey (Under The Milky Way).
