Allison Ames and Jeff Budge are musicians from the Bangor, Maine, area and have been performing together and separately for over 30 years.
Allison Ames has been lead singer for many well-known bands in the state of Maine, including "Air Fare", "Autumn Street", "Allison Ames and the Flames" and currently, "Rodeo". Together with Jeff in the "Flames", she has won 1st place in the Wrangler-GMC country showdown for the state of Maine. The "Flames" also appeared in some well-known Nashville hot spots, such as The Nashville Palace, Skull's Rainbow Room, and the Bluebird Cafe. It was at the Bluebird Cafe that Allison and the Flames were invited to appear in the Vince Gill video, "Don't Let Our Love Start Slipping Away". Allison's engaging personality shines through her strong vocal performances, which have made her one of the most popular and well-known female vocalists in the state!
Jeff Budge grew up in a musical family and began playing upright and electric bass in the national award-winning "Bluegrass Supply Company" with his father, Maine Country Music Hall of Fame member, Dave Dalton. While with "Bluegrass Supply Company", Jeff earned the "Bass Player of the Year" award three times from the Downeast Country Music Association, as well as a variety of 1st place vocal group and duet awards with his father. Jeff joined with Allison Ames in the early 90's to form one of the area's most popular country-rock dance bands, "Allison Ames and the Flames". Jeff has also played in local rock bands, "Caught in the Act" and "3rd Rock". He has played for many years with his current band, "Rockin' Ron and the New Society Band", a three-piece oldies group featuring tight three-part, doo-wop harmonies and a driving swing beat. Jeff's melodic bass and accurate harmonies always provide a strong foundation to whatever type of music he chooses to perform!
