Album Notes

Allister was drawn to music at an early age, playing from the age of 5, writing since he was 13, and learning a little more with every new song.

Classically trained on piano, he wrote songs for years by instinct, until becoming active in the Songwriters Association of Canada in the mid-1990's and enjoying professional training and mentoring. He has measured his success in song crafting not only from favorable results in major songwriting competitions (Billboard Song Competition, USA International Song Contest, I Write The Songs), but from the reactions he notices whenever he performs, and whenever he gets an opportunity to chat with fans after a show.

Allister's debut album "No Games", released late in 2004, was recorded with the help of top Southern-Ontario session musicians and producer Darren Walters. He performs the album with a trio, with a full 6-piece band, and also as a solo act.

His songs reflect the influence of real life, the mature outlook of a "closet grown-up", and the experience of a music lover with a huge variety of music on CD. A songwriter who hasn't lost his humility, he still cares about what his listeners want to hear.

Allister Bradley of Kitchener, ON, has been making music since he was a kid, but only recently decided to unleash his brand of bittersweet, keys-based songcraft on the general public - with impressive results. The album has hints of Bruce Hornsby, post-Police Sting, later-years Journey, and even Great Big Sea. You know the songs are well written when they randomly pop into your head and you can’t get them out (not that I’ve tried all that hard). Standouts are The Words Are Free, If Ever I Cried and Goodbye, Bedford Falls.
