Album Notes

" I took almost seven years to research and find what I think are some of the most beautiful folk songs ever to come out of the Alpine countries - that have never been recorded in the USA. The arrangements are very European style - button box, guitar, bass and two clarinets. The melodies are so beautiful but simple so that a medium level button accordionist can learn these tunes with a little effort. I did the work. Now you can sit back and enjoy or learn to play these tunes which are my most recent labor of love." Al Meixner
( On the CD, all of the titles are listed in English, Slovenian & German.)
Al Meixner has been called "the most European stylistic button accordionist in the USA - he's the REAL DEAL".
