General Information

The world-class sophistication of Almine’s vocals and the sweeping emotional impact of the instrumental compositions, place this album firmly in the category of Enya or Shakira or Loreena McKennitt.
But the artists have successfully managed to place An Affaire Of The Heart in a category of its own in the diversity of its exquisite music. One minute the listener is caressed by the sensual simplicity of a love song, the next, he is swept up in a flood of emotion by an epic instrumental and vocal piece, reminiscent of the greatest movie themes.
Almine says: “Incredibly much thought went into producing this album. We recognized that true works of art, that makes one feel as though one’s world has moved, are multi-layered. Art should impart information on many subliminal levels, as well as the obvious.
An Affaire of the Heart was arranged and composed with not just the individual pieces in mind, but also the larger, overall impact of the whole album. We wanted it to rekindle romance. We also wanted it to inspire an existing romance with a deeper wealth of emotions.”
To accomplish this, the album portrays the emotions of a developing romance from its fragile, yet potent beginnings, to its exciting culmination of exploding passion.”

Biographies

Almine -- Author of six books, international lecturer and superb composer and singer, the depth of her knowledge about life is reflected in her voice. The multi-faceted forms of expression, and the delicate subtleties found in the many moods of her voice, belong to one who lives fully and richly.
Her hobby is ethnic dancing. The delight she has taken in interpreting the rhythms of Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Greece into dance, has also found its way as a subtle influence into the compositions of the CD.
Multi-lingual, with homes in England and Oregon, Almine was born in South Africa.
Where does she find most of her inspiration for her music? “In my blue jeans, in the sleepy fishing town on the Oregon Coast, I call home. When the thundering storms come in from the ocean, my passions move with them. Wild daffodils speak to me of promises yet unfulfilled, and the silent sand dunes bring me back to the stillness within. All this inspires deeply…”

Paul – Paul Gasztold composes music in Toronto, Canada. The compositions tha come through are a marriage of Sacred, Classical and Popular styles.
“The purpose of music is that it expands the Heart and awakens the Spirit, turning keys deep within the listener and transforming all who are touched by it.
