Newcomer Al McCoys sensual, soulful and distinctive vocal style is the by-product of music's rich culture. This baritone-tenor is a native of Los Angeles and is making his solo debut with his latest cd, "RatedR". Al's musical talents are a reflection of his love of life and a representation of the positive vibe which is characteristic of his lifestyle.

Although his music is strongly R&B and Gospel, his musical background is quite diverse, as he possesses an appreciation for artists ranging from Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye to R. Kelly and Luther Vandross. Al is a versatile singer/songwriter. The birth of his musical talents stems from the church. The range of his talents includes choregraphing dance rountines, judging community band competitions and performing locally in greater Los Angeles.

Al's powerful vocals and his irresistible performances have captivated every audience that has witnessed this talented singer's gifts. His passionate performances have soothed audiences in excess of 500 or more. Al's talents have been displayed at events such as The GIG, Atlas Bar & Grill, the Roxy, Club Vinyl (1650), Club XES, Asian 2006 Expo & Mixed Nuts Comedy Club. In the Summer of 2004, Al had the opportunity to perform for an audience in excess of 10,000 or more where he gave 2 encore performances. Music Connection Magazine gave him rave reviews for one of his performance at the Roxy Theatre, stating "What a Polished Act". He charted with Billboard Magazine (L.A. County Region) with the single, Lets Play.

Spirited dedication and a soul stirring passion for the more positive things in life have made Al McCoy a multi-dimensional artist. Al received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in International Business. Physically, he displays an athletic physique that evidences his love for basketball and weight lifting.
